Leila Santill\u00e1n lleg\u00f3 a Fort Worth hace casi diez a\u00f1os para ense\u00f1ar tercer grado en un programa biling\u00fce en el distrito escolar de Fort Worth, en el vecindario de Diamond Hill. Ken Kuhl<\/h3>\n\n

While Ken began his public education advocacy journey the week his daughter started Pre-K in Fort Worth ISD, his deeply held belief that every child deserves a world-class education is rooted in his own upbringing in St. Louis.<\/p>\n

Currently serving his second term on the Texas PTA Board of Directors, Ken remains a steadfast volunteer at both the campus and district levels. His dedication was recognized statewide in 2022 when he received the Texas State Board of Education\u2019s Heroes for Children Award and in 2026 when he received TSPRA's Partner in Public Education Award.<\/p>\n

As Director of Governance, Ken will work to promote student-centered school board leadership that keeps school districts focused on improving student opportunities and outcomes. He will accomplish this by providing training and support to Trustees, aspiring Trustees, and community members that want to advocate for equitable student outcomes.<\/p>\n

Ken studied Philosophy and English at Baylor University. He is a proud Fort Worth ISD parent to his daughter, Hazel, and enjoys life with their dog, Scout, and a couple of backyard ducks.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Alyssa Studer<\/h3>\n\n

Alyssa began her career in education as a high school chemistry teacher and soccer coach at North Side High School in Fort Worth, later teaching in Austin ISD. Her early classroom experience sparked a lasting passion for supporting youth and improving outcomes through education, data, and community partnerships.<\/p>\n

She worked across the nonprofit, philanthropic, and education sectors, including as a data contractor for the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, where she supported grantmaking through data analysis and impact measurement. In 2019, she co-founded CONNECT, a social impact consulting program at the University of Texas at Austin that partners graduate students with community organizations to provide data and evaluation services. Under her leadership, the program expanded its reach to support hundreds of organizations across Texas and inspired similar initiatives at universities nationwide.<\/p>\n

Originally from Wisconsin, Alyssa earned bachelor\u2019s degrees in Botany and Environmental Studies from the University of Wisconsin\u2013Madison. She also holds a Social Entrepreneurship Certificate and completed the Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Education Program for Science 8\u201312 certification, both from Southern Methodist University.<\/p>\n

Alyssa and her husband, Toli, a family medicine physician and former high school chemistry teacher in Fort Worth ISD (O.D. Wyatt), live in Fort Worth with their son, Nico, and two small dogs, Mosley and Jax.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Nancy Ti\u00ean<\/h3>\n\n

Born and raised in Dallas, TX, Nancy Ti\u00ean started her teaching career in North Texas as a fifth-grade bilingual teacher. With over a decade of experience in education, she specializes in curriculum and policy initiatives, education research and data analysis, organizational operations and cultural systems, and family and community partnerships.<\/p>\n

She previously worked in education consulting as a Program Associate with WestEd, serving in instrumental roles on various district- and state-level initiatives, including the Lyon County Portrait of a Learner, the Oregon Department of Education\u2019s Social Science Framework, and the Delaware Department of Education\u2019s Public Education Compensation Committee. A child of immigrants and a first-generation college graduate, Nancy received her bachelor\u2019s degree in Applied Learning and Development from the University of Texas at Austin.<\/p>\n

In her spare time, she enjoys going on local adventures with her husband and toddler, trying new recipes, and attempting to jog with her two dogs, Pepper and Ice Cold 3000.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
